Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the service.

This policy explains exactly which cookies Vensider.io uses, why we use them, and how long they persist. We keep this short because we genuinely use very few.

2. Cookies we use

Name Type Purpose Expires
_app_session Essential Keeps you signed in between page loads. Required for the app to function. 8 hours
vr_session Analytics Anonymous identifier used to count unique visits and measure traffic. Contains no personal data. 1 year
_ga, _ga_* Analytics Set by Google Analytics to measure traffic on our public pages. Only set after you accept analytics cookies, and never on the signed-in app. Up to 2 years
_dev_session Dev only Development-only demo session cookie. Not set in production. Session

Minimal by design.

We use Google Analytics on our public pages to measure traffic — and only after you accept analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, do not build user profiles for advertising purposes, and never sell cookie data.

3. Third-party cookies

Our payment provider Stripe sets cookies during the checkout flow for fraud prevention and session continuity. These are only active on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. Stripe's cookie policy: stripe.com/legal/cookie-settings.

4. Local storage

We use browser localStorage to store lightweight UI preferences (such as whether the admin sidebar is collapsed). This data is stored entirely in your browser, never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

5. Managing and deleting cookies

Essential authentication cookies are required for the service to function — disabling them means you cannot stay logged in. Analytics cookies are optional: on your first visit we show a consent banner with two categories — Necessary (always on) and Analytics — and Google Analytics only runs if you allow it. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. We keep a dated record of each consent decision for compliance purposes.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this page if we add or change any cookies. Material changes will be noted in our changelog.
